I can be OCD (or CDO) when I want to be. I insist that books be shelved by size. And by size, I don't mean thickness. I mean the height and width of the cover. It bothers me to no end when a small, short paperback is shelved in between two larger books. And those "abnormal" books? Those books that are square? Those books that are grotesquely elongated? What the hell were those publishers thinking? Seriously, if you want to create an "original" book ("abnormal" would be a better descriptor), then create some original content. Don't make square/extremely long/circular books that are so hard to shelf.
